Each piece has inlaid lapis lazuli gemstone chips that are dark blue in color. The sterling silver is darkened from age for a gray color with some small areas of black. Angel Castillo Taxco Sterling Silver Vintage Link Necklace with Inlaid Crushed Lapis Lazuli Gemstone

Beautifully designed Southwestern piece by Angel Castillo for Taxco. This is a well made heavier piece with a slide lock clasp.

  • Size: 15 1/2" long and is 3/4" wide at the widest points.
  • Type: Pre Owned Retro Vintage from the 1980's. 
  • Condition: Sterling is darkened from age, with the back part of the piece being the darkest. The resin used to inlay the gemstone has yellowed some from age, but isn't very visible unless looked at closely or under magnification. All gemstone inlay seems to be intact. Clasp in good working condition.
  • Materials: Sterling silver, lapis lazuli gemstone chips, resin. 
  • Markings: The clasp is unmarked, but on the back of one of the links has Taxco 925 Sterling with AC in the middle. It is also marked TC-55 with another marking above it that I couldn't make out.
  • Weight: 78.1 grams.
